So I bought 20ft of cable and this pack of five to cut all my cables at once. We had some very old cables, two of which were broken. I realized that with all of our high-end computers, having outdated cables was ridiculous. It was definitely an upgrade from what we had and I have to admit there was a speed boost. I was hoping for more, but I managed to beat my usual top speeds by a few megabytes. I think "fast" is relative, but since we don't live in a place like San Francisco, I'm lucky enough to have speed at all. I currently clock around 215-216Mbps. Before switching to new cables, my computer was running at around 209-210. Where I really noticed the difference is in the boot. I roughly doubled the download speed, which is pretty impressive. Either my old cables are bad, or these are very good. Whatever it is, I'm happy, especially since it didn't cost me anything at all. **Update August 11, 2019** I want to tell you all about these Cat6 cables I bought in June. Now that some time has passed, I've noticed that I've had fewer breaks - fewer crashes or sudden moments of slowdown. I think my old cables actually caused bandwidth bottlenecks at times. Anyway, I used to have to restart the internet more often, now I do it less often.
