Review on ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ StarTech.com Articulating Dual Monitor Arm - Adjustable VESA Mount - Supports 12'' to 24'' Monitors - Grommet or Desk Mount - Black (ARMDUAL) by Tracy Nuy

Very good stand but there is no way to adjust the height of the monitor and leave it there - it doesn't stay where it is placed

I like this StarTech stand for two monitors , or I would. , if there weren't a fatal flaw: The stand cannot be adjusted sufficiently in height. On a positive note, there are cable guides under the metal brackets, which make the dream of a wireless workplace a reality. It has two USB pass-through ports (not a hub but USB extenders, so each port on the base has a cable that needs to be plugged into its own port on the computer), as well as separate headphone and mic pass-through ports. These ports let you conveniently connect USB drives, headphones, and microphones without having to reach for your desktop. Installation is simplified as each monitor must be screwed onto a standard VESA mounting plate that can be detached from the brackets, making the entire fixture much easier to assemble than would be possible with fixed mounting plates. Each mount also has three pivot points: a base, an elbow, and a mounting clip that even has a tilt adjustment. The downside of this monitor stand is that the part of the mount from the elbow to the monitor mount has some sort of hydraulic system. to return the monitor to its maximum height when moved to a lower height. He's so good at his job that there must be some way to lock them in at a lower height, but I can't find such a mechanism, even in the manual. Overall this is a very good monitor stand and I really like it, but not being able to position and hold my monitors in a comfortable viewing position I find this useful.
