Case preserved. I was a bit disappointed when the screw that held the camera in place didn't have a plastic cap to prevent damage to the gopro. The screw that secures the gopro doesn't fit in the hole provided. So it's basically useless and the camera shakes in the body and if you want to use a cold shoe with a mic you get jarring noises as the camera isn't held in place. This is an updated version of the highly acclaimed D&F case, but it let me down. If I could get the matching bolt and plastic bumper that comes with the lowered version that would be great.
