6 months So far so good

I bought this backpack mainly for one reason. Trademark. It is not only a fashion brand in my line of business but also known for its good quality and value for money. I'm a plumber in a big US city. Most days of the week my backpack is used solely for personal items. Chargers, medicines, headphones, etc. One day I packed some tools in my backpack so I could use public transport. Because of this, storage space was a big issue for me. I have to move a lot. I read a review where someone suggested that two 1 gallon jugs could fit in the bag comfortably. That's exactly what I did for this review. The first picture I uploaded was my best attempt at opening a large bag so you can see. The second had two one gallon containers inside. Third, it's about as much as I can comfortably fit in my bag (nearly a gallon black semi-rigid case). and the fourth bag with things from picture number three. The second pocket can comfortably hold anything 2.5" to 3" thick without stretching. And two .75" front pockets. There is one laptop sleeve that I never use. But it is padded on both sides, and while the bottom of the entire sleeve is lightly padded, the padding in the laptop sleeve is sewn down at the bottom. Located at the bottom of the laptop sleeve I wanted some extra padding. My second concern was durability. The base material and reinforced bottom feel very durable (no rips or tears. It's clear they put a lot of thought into designing this bag. Compared to other backpacks I have I had, firstly there have always been pliable plastic parts I believe clip hangers etc. This bag is almost completely absent of them. The clip in the pockets is brass. No velcro and elastic straps and minimal fishing net.It There are plastic belt guides, but since brass guides don't work very well and tend to damage the belt, I think they're the way to go have tan Also the sliders used, thicker and larger than the ones that were on my friend's p backpacks. So Carhartt has replaced what often fails with stronger parts and materials. I'm sure this bag will last a long time. This bag has some flaws. I knew it when I made the purchase but decided to customize the bag to suit my needs. The first and most obvious are the very small water bottle pockets! I know they did it this way because they didn't want to use elastic and mesh like other bags (including lower tier bags) do. For me, a good ball of thread around the zipper did the trick. He keeps my water bottle in place. I should add that the bottle is a 1.5 liter bottle of water. Second is the daisy chain that bag manufacturers add to their bags. I wear a lot of my stuff in organized outfits. So I can quickly unpack and repack. I can quickly see when something is missing. Things like cables and chargers last longer etc. It also allows me to add carabiners to my kits and keep them out of my bag in case I need to fully load my bag. It rarely happens, but it's super convenient. Sewn many times on the back of the backpack. On this Carhartt they were carried with shoulder straps. It's not exclusive to them, but it's not done often. And while it works great with things like hand sanitizer (I know this review will be here for a long time, but I'm writing this amid the Covid-19 pandemic), carrying large items like headphones is uncomfortable. case etc. I took a photo of the chain and these two items. As this bag lacks the relevant parts (like these clasps) the bag also has no sternum, thigh or compression straps. That means if you carry an empty bag, it will move around a lot. And when it's fully loaded, the load on the shoulders is greater than that of the bag they're in. I will add that the curved shoulder straps are comfortable even when the bag is heavy. So it's not such a big deal, Last No Lash Tab! No material loop! There is no patch in this pocket to attach a flashlight. I think you can put it on the handle or maybe sew it on yourself, but in any case you will have to modify the bag. A few more notes: Carhartt adds a coating that prevents the pack from getting wet quickly. It works, but with prolonged rain it gets wet. I have yet to find a puddle at the bottom of the backpack or get the contents of the bag really wet. When I made the purchase, there was no gray version of this backpack. That's why I chose this color. it matches my pants and hides dust better than a black backpack (think plaster dust). All metal parts are made of brass. Brass will corrode/patinate when exposed to moisture. So all those bright gold studs and zippers turn into a dark brown blue green. That was expected and pleasant for me, but I thought I'd let you know. I washed my bag before taking these photos. I thought the dirt I added was an unfair representation of the bag's condition. My expectations: I expect this bag to last a long, long time. My guess probably won't taint it enough that I don't want to use it until the bag fails. But until I get to that point, I'll probably change it. Add a ring to better secure my water bottle. Add an eyelash puff and some daisies at the back. Probably remove the sunglass case. The cool thing about this bag, I think, is that it's a great base for you to customize it however you like. In closing: I always update my reviews when something happens. While there are no changes here, you can assume that the bag is still in good condition. If it breaks or breaks or something in the future I'll let you know. Thank you for reading! And if you find it useful, you know what to do. Many Thanks
