Review on ๐Ÿ“บ Sanus Systems Vmpl50A-B1 - Premium Visionmount Tilt Mount for TVs (32-85 inches) by Luke Hodes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I wish I could give it 6 stars

This is an update of my original review. Yesterday I noticed that my TV is tilted slightly to one side, but I couldn't find the adjustment button. I emailed Sanus through their website, gave my address and in the morning I received an email that a new key was on its way. Great service on top of an already great product. Firstly I am completely satisfied with the quality, strength of the brackets and mounting plate. The only advice I can give is to think about where this is going to end up on your wall. In our case, that's an electrical box mounted high on the wall with a power outlet and an HDMI cable. This particular mounting plate has a strip of metal in the middle so I was faced with a dilemma of either mounting the TV off center or changing the bracket and I ended up cutting out the middle part. In hindsight I should have measured where it was going before I bought it and tracked where it would be installed. If so, maybe I can get another model without this middle section. Even without that centerpiece, I'm not concerned about the strength or ability to hold the TV securely. I can't say enough good things about the customizations that are possible with this mount. When our installation work was complete we sat down to enjoy our work and realized we were about 2 tenths of an inch shorter on one end. Being out of level was really noticeable. No problem. This mount allows you to make minor height adjustments after installation without removing the TV. Simply use the included hex wrench to make the final adjustments. The ability to tilt the TV forward was also crucial for us. Our TV is set quite high because our mantel is quite thick, so being able to tilt it forward was a must. Sanus mount.

Pros
  • The rail design allows the TV to slide left and right for perfect placement even if the knobs are off center
Cons
  • No instructions
