I should have looked more closely. This prevents you from getting the larger footprints found on most kayaks. I love this product but had to order a different mount with a 1/4 20 bolt to fit a different brand of rail. Everything else is great! The mount that fits my rail is the same as the hotshoe style mount you find on pro cameras.
