My husband put a pegboard in my closet so I could display all my necklaces, bracelets and earrings. I put some skewers in the corner to hang the earrings but I needed something for the earrings and pins. I wanted something flat and with separate compartments and this item was just the ticket. There was some concern when installing it in my perforated panel. The pins are acrylic (the whole block is one piece) and if you're not careful when installing them, they can break. After installation, the device was not at a 90-degree angle to the pad, but sagged a bit. It bothered me at first, but I realized it was easier to see the decorations inside. You can add some sort of brace or spacer between the tray and the perforated panel to make this easier.
