Shelves work well just make sure you use a pole finder when hanging them. The shelf rests on small rubber balls that keep falling off and some of them have been lost.

Loose structure. The glass is not attached anywhere but is held in place by a sticker and rubber strips. I'm afraid of wiping, send it back before opening the box. No purchase recommendation.

Thicker cords are difficult to thread through the middle section. I think it works best when wall mounted directly below the flat screen. Mine is next to my fireplace with a TV above the mantel.

I liked the BIG shelves compared to others in a similar style. Most AV components use 13" x 10" shelves, although they are much larger. I needed something for an Xbox 360 AND a huge power adapter. Most shelves won't fit, but these will!

With that we have placed our Direct TV receiver/recorder and DVD player on top and the Xbox on the bottom. Works great because it goes right under the TV and the cables aren't sticking out everywhere. We placed it fairly high on the wall so as not to interfere with the signal (we used to place all items on a low stand, and the coffee table sometimes blocked the signal).

I checked the manufacturer's website before ordering and they agreed. I have ordered 2 more sets of shelves and they were not as advertised so this time I carefully researched several sources before placing an order. The dimensions given are incorrect. To be generous, these shelves are 11" x 15" (see image). I think I'll continue my search for the perfect accessory shelf.
