They were difficult to install (probably because I do NOT fix washing machines) but after installation my washing machine stopped spinning. I have a Kenmore He 2 washer with 3 dampers and 2 springs on top. My research revealed that the wobble was either due to worn shocks or springs. I decided to try shock absorbers first and only buy springs when needed. The shock absorbers started to work, and now my washing machine not only does not go away, but also works much more quietly than before. The only negative is that it took 3 uses to replace it. 1 person prevented the bathtub from falling as they removed the old shock absorbers while the other 2 people replaced the part. We needed 2 people due to the location of the shocks, it was too difficult for one person to remove the bolt and clamp at the same time. However, it saved us from buying a new washer or paying the mechanic over $300 to fix it.
