Raindot insect repellent really works! Skip insect repellent, fog, fly strips and fly swatters!

You can never have enough insect repellent! I've been using insect repellents for a year and they mostly work as expected. The lamp on this one is not very bright. Other zappers use 25-40 watt bulbs, this one uses 15 watts. I was skeptical at first but it still attracts bugs and then kills them so I'm happy. The discharge power is 4200 volts, almost standard voltage, which will fry them perfectly. Sometimes you get a thick one, fried for a while really stinks. After running our garage 24/7 in the summer, the metal grid is covered with body parts that stick to it. A large percentage will go to the "collective bowl". A smaller percentage will be thrown out of the device. After the electrified network is closed, the discharge decreases. You can use a small brush to loosen and remove them. Compressed air can also work, but be careful when blowing! This is a big plus for me, so I can now provide some "protection" against bugs in my patio and garden. I don't leave it out all the time and only use it when I'm in the area. When using indoors I leave it on. The cord is quite short, but I didn't expect it to be long. There is no ON/OFF switch. The device is mostly made of plastic, which appears to be quite durable. Because the light isn't bright, you don't need to have another light source nearby as they compete to attract insects. It is better if this lamp is placed away from other light sources. The instructions suggest placing it some distance away from your porch or patio to keep the bugs away from you. Now you can do without insect repellent, fog, fly strips and a fly swatter!

Pros

Cons
  • Insecure
