Review on Yocada 15" 2-In-1 Floor Scrub And Scrape Brush With Telescopic Handle - Stiff Bristles For Cleaning Showers, Patios, Bathrooms, Garages, Kitchens, Walls, Decks, Tubs, And Tiles by Rick Howlett

Quality materials and easily stored

What first struck me as I received the package was how loosely packed its content was. Normally that's not a positive thing - I feared that the contents must have become scratched or even damaged during shipping. But after unpacking, I saw that neither the three pieces that make up the handle nor the brush itself had been marred. The handle is made from both metal and plastic and seem sturdy. The three pieces screw together easily and the bottom end of the assembled handle slips into a receptacle on the brush head with a satisfying click. Once the assembly is complete after less than 30 seconds, one can unfasten a clip on the end of the second handle piece and pull on the ends of the handle to telescope the handle in/out to the desired overall length. The handle, at the top, is covered in a soft material (memory foam?) which is a nice touch. But it would have been better that part of the handle was bent a bit more (i.e. to be parallel to the brush end) to be more ergonomic. With the fixed brush and straight handle, it can be a bit awkward scrubbing at the proper angle. But the description does not mislead in any way, so I won't deduct for that. The bristles of the brush are quite stiff. They did a good job cleaning my deck. I watched the video that accompanies this product and the presenter suggested always brushing with the grain. I followed this advice religiously as I feared that with those stiff bristles I might scratch the wood (actually "thermory") if I brushed perpendicular to the grain. I did not notice any scratches after the job was done.
