It's rare that an item that is perceived as an inferior, cheaply made Chinese outlet actually turns out to be quite good and performs better than expected, but this tripod, flashlight and phone holder combo is one such item . I would have bought it for the versatile little tripod that was included. I like playing with it and seeing how many positions my camera can be placed in. TIP #1: The tripod has an adjustment that allows you to extend the legs almost horizontally to bring the mount very close to the ground. TIP #2: The round adjustment nut on top REALLY splits into two pieces, allowing you to lock the bracket below and the light in place at the same time. Nice gesture. The lighting is bright enough to work with video, so the brightness control isn't used that often. Anyway, it was everything I expected from a cheap flashlight. However, it does have three light temperature modes that affect how you look at the camera. It was designed to work on the desktop, so it's well-suited for that purpose. I am very happy with this purchase.
