Review on πŸ“± 15-Inch Black Floor Mount for Mobile Phones and Smartphones by Arkon Universal: Mini Grip Enhancer by Derrick Shaw

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like it except the flex is a bit tight.

Thank goodness it doesn't have that little knurled screw on the neck like in the picture. . 5 minutes with a meat grinder. Not much, quite a lot, is not clear from the description. The arms are spring loaded and will open when pressed. The overall width when open is just over 3 inches, when closed the strap spacing is 1.5 inches. The small feet on the holding part are moveable and removable. The only reason I took the star off was because the flex arm itself is very, very stiff. I had a similar product a few years ago and the flexible part was made out of a round strip of steel, like a mic stand, and despite its strength it could be moved. This core has a malleable all-metal core encased in a round plastic jacket. It's hard to bend where you want it. All of this will go where you want, though. I wanted the initial flex to be closer to the transmission hump and it took a bit of muscle to get it right. As soon as I unpacked it, I was surprised at how heavy it is. It might be ok if it's in place, I don't think it'll go anywhere unless I move it so it's secure over bumps and the like. Overall a great product and now I don't have to juggle my phone in a truck.

Pros
  • Fits me great
Cons
  • Slightly torn
