I read lots of reviews before I bought this blanket. I knew I wanted one that would not leave me sweating while I slept, helped with my restless legs syndrome, and helped me sleep better. This one advertised as 2nd generation so I figured it had to be an improvement over some. I’m a nurse that works night shift and after using this for a few weeks here’s my review. I’m in my late 50’s and weigh 150# and bought the 17# blanket. It is not hot. As for my RLS, I find that if I leave my feet out and double the blanket on the bottom half of my legs it helps. My legs don’t get that awful feeling and I fall asleep faster. The extra weight on my body is comforting. I have not washed it yet but it’s made of sturdy material that looks like it’ll hold up for a long time.
