Works great, even with our Great Dane.

Since receiving it a few weeks ago we've done a few short and long (90 minute) rides on our Great Dane 120#. She's very comfortable with this cover in the back seat, although she prefers to lay her back against the back of the front seats (rather than the bench itself), so she uses it more like a hammock! I'm curious to see how long the straps that wrap around the front seat headrests will last as they carry most of their weight. A key feature is the mesh window that helps keep you cool and makes you more visible. Our pup loves using the top of the mesh window as a headrest and resting his chin on it, so again we'll see how long he lasts given how much weight she puts in places that aren't really meant for it. What! The fabric seems thick enough to protect our leather interior and we haven't noticed any scratches or tears on the upholstery, even considering our Dane's big nails. The chemical smell on arrival was quite strong so we left it outside for 2 days to air out before putting it in the car. Installation was straightforward and the tension of the straps on the four headrests is easy to adjust: I've found that you don't really want it as tight as possible to give the cover enough room to lay flat. surfaces when the dog is in the car (pulling too hard means the fabric is being put under too much stress and stretching). The strap buckle holes don't line up with our buckles, but we can still access a buckle to use our full body harness (not the one that came with the case, instead we use the AllSafe harness and full body harness while he passes a crash test). The seat cover stayed in place thanks to plastic rods tucked between the backrest and seat bottom. Another feature I liked was that this unit has side panels that zip up and hold upright with a tether that goes through the "oh-s$$$" bar above the window: we'll leave that one of the side panels buttoned up. and is always tethered, just opening the other side to let the dog in and out: a fairly simple process that takes less than a minute. Two things I'd like to change: offer in more colors (black is too hot, gray will do, but I want it to complement our brown interior) and change the fabric and/or treatment so that no smelly chemicals are used. Not in use: I know these chemicals are still present even after the product has been aired out, and I don't like them in the tight, confined spaces of our cars. However, those two things aside, I'm glad I chose this particular product.
