I was looking for a bedside clock/alarm clock/CD player combo. After browsing the internet on different devices for several days, I decided on this article. Most reviews were positive. The device does what I want - tells me the time, alerts me, plays CDs and charges my cell phone. My problem and the reason I am returning it is that it is too complicated to use. There are eleven (11) small buttons on the top front of the device. As you might expect, each of them fulfills its function. But that's just the beginning. To activate some functions you have to press a button and then another. In other cases, you have to hold down a key and then press another. Now I'm as smart as the average bear, but I can't seem to remember the steps required to perform a function, especially in the dark (I have it on the next table). For example, according to the user manual, there are six steps to set an alarm. Wow! Well, enough about that aspect. A few other pointers that might come in handy: The display is too bright, even on the darkest settings. After all, the user guide was written by someone whose native language is clearly not English and who is sometimes difficult to follow. Of course, I wouldn't blame a non-native English speaker for not being able to communicate effectively in English, but if one's product is going to be sold to English speakers, care should be taken to make the manual easier to understand.
