Review on BIC America FH6 LCR 6 5 Inch Frequency by James Hardy

Revainrating 4 out of 5

There are reviews for the money

I read reviews on here (and not only) about the FH6-LCR, checked the price and doubted that this CCS could be as good as it is claimed . For the price, however, I decided to risk it. I needed something that played loud enough to get past a loud treadmill and sounded good. My Infinity Alpha CCS just couldn't handle the ambient noise unless I turned it up to the level my wife was complaining about. Enter FH6-LCR. Input good sound, loud sound - loud enough to pretty much drown out treadmill noise and let me hear what I heard without having to rev it up as hard as the Infinity. Not to mention the BIC's solid bass! All is well in my basement now. I would like to make a caveat: be careful what you pair this speaker with. I figured it was a BIC and would probably get along very well with a pair of BIC FH-65 bookshelf speakers, so I bought a couple of these. Bad decision on my part, because the FH-65 are not nearly as good as the FH6-LCR. I pulled them out, put them back on the Pioneer S-DF3-K bookshelves and my great sound was back. It seems to me that Pioneers and BIC FH6-LCR complement each other very well. It may or may not sound great on some speakers. This is my first horn tweeter and I have to say I love its "straightness" or "brightness" or whatever you want to call it. I hear things on CDs that I've never heard before, and I mean well. I'm only giving the FH6-LCR 4 stars instead of 5 because I'm having trouble matching it to the right fronts. Definitely recommended for the price.
