Attention buyers, these are plastic housings, not metal! When I opened the box it was a great shock to me. While these were one of the few surface mount lights I could find in the size and light output I needed, they're obviously cheap. I wish they had longer wires like most LED lights with 1ft heavy cord. It's just tiny, maybe 4 inch long individual wires on the back. I'll admit they work great and look great once installed, but they leave a lot to be desired in terms of build quality. I don't think they'll last very long when exposed to road debris, but who knows, maybe a plastic case is actually better than the painted metal (aluminum) cases that other manufacturers use, as they have better corrosion resistance and don't have any peeling paint or powder coating. tell.
