. This tripod has everything it promises. Lightweight (although I think I should have paid for the carbon fiber version. Even lighter), very easy to use and modify. The ball head is simple, easy to use and once you get the hang of the various knobs it will get the job done with ease. I'm very happy with it! <edit/update> Note that you should NOT fully unscrew the leg segments unless you are taking them apart for cleaning (and if you do, be sure to save the spacers!). I accidentally unscrewed the lower segment of one of the legs (in a hurry), and then I left, and the segment fell out. I just picked it up and put it back in. It wasn't until I got home that I realized that the segment would fall out if the latch was released as there are two spacers holding the segment in place. Sounds complicated, but it is not. Just don't loosen the latches completely (for example, don't unscrew them completely). I contacted MeFOTO, they responded quickly and sent me new pads. Very easy to install (no tools etc). 2 minutes and done. Good customer service!
