I am disappointed with this product due to the lack of moon detail when the lamp is on. I've found that when the lamp is on, the details of the moon don't matter, so its "realistic" aspect is lost. The lighting scheme inside the lamp makes it look more like a different planet than our moon. I love the color changing aspect as I will be using this globe as props for photoshoots here and there. I've attached two pictures so you can see what I mean about the details. I bought another model from a different brand and you can see a significant difference between them. The first picture is a model of LOGROTATE. The second image is patented by Gahaya and you can see the difference in detail when it comes to shadowed areas of the moon. You will be the judge
