I had problems with the cheap ones I used so I went for something better and it's not the same. I was looking at the melting temperature of the solder I'm working with in °F. The dial doesn't even go that deep. So I had to gradually adjust until it got hot enough to melt the solder. I got almost 900°F (according to the display)! I wanted an iron with a dial in the base and an accurate temperature reading so I could properly assemble my expensive audio gear. The space to set up and clean the handpiece was a big plus. The "Plus" features actually turned out to be useful. Last time I trusted a company whose name is just a plagiarism of another company (Lenovo).
