This is my first time using knee pads so I can't compare with similar products. However, I can tell you that constantly wearing these pads while working on the floor has helped my injured knees heal. In my condo, Pergo and tile floors, the back deck is a flagstone, concrete walkways around the perimeter. My knees were injured from kneeling on hard surfaces. After a few weeks of use, I have no more pain. Make sure you're wearing them correctly and make sure the nubbed sides are facing out so they don't snag as you walk. I definitely recommend these pads for housework.
