Review on Samsung P2370HD 23-inch Full HD Monitor by Chef Cervantes

I purchased this Samsung Monitor/TV from Revain on 27th September 2010 and have had no major problems with it for almost 3 months of use. This Samsung PC Monitor/TV is very, very good, but with a few caveats. First, the picture quality and colors are really top-notch. I mainly use it as a PC monitor and rarely switch to the TV so I don't have to go to another room to watch TV. The resolution and responsiveness for PC use is absolutely outstanding. Now for the cons: no PIP. My previous Samsung monitor/TV (910MP) had this. PIP is great if you want to keep working on your PC while watching some TV events on your desktop. Is it progress to miss this opportunity? The sound is not as good as the previous Samsung 910MP. The speakers of the 910MP were front-facing and had a pleasant sound. On the P2370HD, the speakers are hidden underneath and point downwards, and the sound isn't very good - it sounds "thin". If you plan to use it to watch TV, you'll need to add a set of speakers to really enjoy it. And a small nuance: switching from a PC monitor to a TV and back should be quick and easy. Well, it's easy to switch from PC mode to TV mode - just press the "TV" button, conveniently located in the top right corner of the remote control. Returning to PC mode is not that easy. You might think that you can use the same button to turn your TV on and off. There is no such happiness. To return to PC mode you have to press the "SOURCE" button (nicely hidden in the middle of the remote control by the way), then when the OSD appears you have to press the "Control Up Arrow" to select the PC to select, and then press "select". Wow. I'm surprised they didn't add a password or captcha! So all in all a very good monitor/television that just lacks a few relatively minor details. I also recommend with reservations.
