Bought this to make my own schnitzel. And this is the tool you need when you want to puree meat completely flat and thin. The other kind, a long handle with a small hammer head, I'm not even sure if it's technically intended for anything other than taking up desk drawer space. But I digress. I wasn't sure if 24 ounces would be heavy enough. I'm big and strong, and after turning some steaks into schnitzel tonight, I think this is the ticket. It's still work, but other than the hydraulic press, it seems the way to go.
