Bought for walking and jogging with my dogs. We leave at 5:30 in the morning and it's already dark. It's great in the summer. It has no insulating properties in winter so I use them at 25F and above. Under 25F we have some non-reflective insulated "coats" that wear them. Use the sizing charts for your dog, I can't help with that. My dogs go about their "business" in vests with no problem (for the record, both are males). Does not interfere with leashes or collars. The reflectivity is just fantastic. It is very visible when we cross the street in the headlights of a car. And they look very cute. You have many extras. Of other people walking in this evil hour! Please note that your dog's natural oils and dirt on their fur will end up on the underside of the vest, making it a little dirty. But it doesn't go all the way up, there's no telling, and the directions say to cut back on washing as it reduces reflectivity. I washed them once in the washing machine. But they didn't really need it, and in the future I'll probably just wipe out the inside when needed. Great purchase and I highly recommend it. I've had boobies who enjoyed flashing their brake lights so early in the morning. We avoid them, but in any case they see us and stop even where there are no street lights. The vests are doing their job. The dogs seem to love them. As soon as they come out they know it's time for a walk and wait patiently for me to dress them and then put the leash on.
