my laptop fits just right. The soft edges are thick all around and the piping prevents them from touching the zipper. It still has room to move around a bit, but it's easy to slide in and out quickly, I don't want it to be even cramped, my ThinkPad is "14 3/8 X 9 7/8 X 1 1/4". Outside pockets are ok with inside pockets for wrapping paper or string. My trackball and charger fit, but don't leave very good bulges on the outside and are vulnerable to hitting with a thin pad. I also have a hard case if I really need to carry luggage and this soft case fits in. The fabric feels stiff and water repellent, I haven't noticed any bad stitching or other imperfections. It has to be durable. I like the dark turquoise color but it can get dirty when working outdoors, I think it can be cleaned.
