Expensive due to poor performance. The product does not need to be rinsed before it is placed in the filter. It has a sandy pink color that constantly comes out of the filter bag. which eventually colors the water in the tank. As for the removal of phosphates from the aquarium, the phosphate levels in the aquarium remain the same after a month.
