All in all, this case is a great tablet case for kids. It is made of thick foam, the stand is also made of foam. This adds a little weight but is not critical. The tablet is well protected in the event of a fall on its sides or back. My problem is the built-in screen protector. It's made from a sheet of plastic that doesn't actually stick to the screen, but instead sits on top of the screen and snaps into place, then tucked into a foam sleeve. Yes, a screen protector protects against scratches, but if you drop something on the screen, it will most likely break. No problem as I prefer to use tempered glass screen protectors. BIG PROBLEM: The built-in screen protector strangely sticks to the screen, making it visible when you touch it and staying in place even if you try to wipe it off. It's still noticeable when the tablet is on. This bothered my child so much that he said it had to be returned.
