I bought this brand of headphones from TJ Maxx last month and love the style. However, when I got home I noticed that the rubber band that goes in the ear canal was still there when I took out the earbuds. mother is a nurse. She brushed it off, saying it couldn't go far enough to be a problem. However, last night I went to bed with my iPod as usual and woke up at 5:20 am with an odd connection feeling in my brain. an ear. A piece of rubber was pushed up my ear canal out of sight. In a panic, I tried to pull it out with my pinky, but it only got deeper. Luckily my mom was able to pull it out with her exercise gear, but it was a painful and scary experience. It was twisting and twisting in my ear, making it impossible to get it out without medical help. I worry about younger children who don't realize they need more help than a bobby pin or pinky finger can give. You would think that after 5 or 6 years it would stop sticking peanuts and berries in its nose and ear, but I'm a teenager and I was panicking! I just woke up one summer morning to something you MUST put in my ear without personal help! When my mom looked at the inside of my ear with her telescope, she also noticed that the rubber was irritating the lining of my ear. I wouldn't recommend this brand of headphones. This is a very dangerous item which I have told the company to look out for.
