Constant noise, terrible microphone

I've paired this with a few phones and it all resulted in constant noise coming out of the speaker at any volume. This is less of a problem as an open walkie-talkie, but definitely annoying with earphones. Received calls come through loud and clear above noise, but all calls sent were almost inaudible unless I was shouting. I also tried TRRS microphone and headphone accessories and the transmit volume was just as terrible with them. Was looking forward to using this but will get it back in less than 20 minutes of trial time.
