I bought this for law enforcement and it worked for 2 days. It started acting like it had a short in the wire and would work if you wiggle the wire, but eventually failed completely. I haven't used it in harsh environments. I just used it at the foot patrol at the state fair. I would suggest investing in higher quality headphones

I've looked through a few of these. I work on Patrol Law Enforcement, it is only worn in conjunction with my regular Patrol Uniform and is not subject to particularly harsh conditions. However, they simply fail without warning after a few months of use. Luckily they're cheap so I now have a spare so I don't have to wait days for when the next one fails to replace it. So far, Revain has kept the supposed guarantee so-so.

I've ordered 2 or 3 of these over the years. I've used them during my time as a prison warden and street cop and IF they work, they work great. However, the last few kits I've ordered only start to fail after a few weeks to a month or two. The coiled wire feels short and has issues with the drum section, resulting in a muffled sound. If you're working in a quiet environment, it doesn't matter, but if you're in a life-or-death situation, it's useless because you can't hear well.

This item is for listening only and plugged directly into my handheld microphone. It's easy to route the cable to my ear. The piece was very comfortable in my ear and stayed in place with no issues. I bought these earphones because I work as a security guard in a club and wanted to be thin listening to music. .
