This product is a good upgrade from the standard fill valve. It has a unique system on the bottom that prevents dirt from settling on the bottom of the tank. Installation is easy. The hardest part will be removing the old fill valve as the person who installed it probably screwed it in too tight. At the same time, this valve has a very unique and convenient installation system, where it is impossible to overtighten. Simply screw in by hand until it clicks 2-3 times and you're done. The instructions are very detailed, so take the time to read them and follow them carefully. Some people have mentioned noise issues, and while it's true that it's a little louder than you might be used to, it fills up really quickly and is only really loud for the first few seconds of filling up. You can also adjust the flow valve on the wall as well as on the device itself to turn down the volume a bit. I don't see that as a problem. Overall, this is a great inflation valve. We highly recommend installing one of these if your current one is slow, leaking, or otherwise not working properly.
