У меня есть дровяная печь, поэтому сухой воздух является проблемой, и за последние несколько лет у меня было около 10 разных увлажнителей, поэтому я что-то вроде эксперта , I think. I have tried Vicks, Bionaire, Homedic and some more expensive devices. But I've had it for almost a month now and I think my search is finally over. This device has the highest output of any vapor or cold fog setup I've tried. It's really very good in every way and I haven't had the problems that others have mentioned. it just works, it's quiet and cleaning isn't difficult at all. The control and degree of fine-tuning of power delivery is excellent, and the humidity dial feels very accurate. If it runs out of water it will stop every time, and when you refill it you don't have to reset all the settings. it keeps them until you manually turn off the device. I also like how small it is and very easy to move it to where you want it. It's easy to refill, has enough capacity so it's not too difficult to refill (1.5 gallons I think) and the directional spouts work really well. I was extra cautious with the tank after reading about some other people having cracking issues and so far everything has been fine. Of course, with a wood-burning stove, you need a LOT of moisture replacement. This Levoit can increase humidity by around 5-10%, but be aware that I'm using it on a fairly large area, 800m². foot, which is almost twice the recommended room size for this unit. So technically, this block doesn't have to be big enough. But I just put it next to our resting place and it makes a big difference. I was surprised at how wetter the area seems to be. I tried it in the master bedroom and it blew away the Vicks block and got it to 50% pretty quickly. With the wood stove running, none of my steam humidifiers could move my humidity dart even 1%. And of all the ones I've tried, only my giant whole house evaporative humidifier outperforms this one. but while this beast can only increase my humidity by about 15-20% on the highest setting, it's very difficult to keep clean, you have to add chemicals which I don't think are very safe, and it's really noisy. so loud we barely used it. I can't think of any downsides at all. this is a really great unit. I think if I could get 2 for the price of one it would be better but eel is worth the money in my opinion. By the way, I recommend staying away from the cool fog. In fact, I'll never get a cool fog block again. Even using 100% pure H2O (distilled) from my reverse osmosis system still produces white dust and the chemicals I tried only reduced the dust, not eliminated it. They are also very difficult to keep clean and bacteria is a real problem. Besides, who wants to add chemicals to the air you breathe? Check it. I don't think you will be disappointed. EDIT: I've had it for almost 2 years now and the heating element no longer works for warm mist. Sure, I'll use it daily throughout the winter, but these days the heating element should last for years. I just wrote Levoit, explained the problem, checked the receipt and all, and they sent me a new one. No hassle, no cost. It should be so. great company behind their products! How rare these days.
