I am surprised by the thought that went into this kit.You might expect a cheap explorer bundle for kids but, it’s actually something children can seriously use to investigate, try and learn about nature with.The insect container is collapsable, has a built in ruler with inches and centimeters and has a built in magnifier.The 4x30 binoculars are soft coated and the eyepieces are soft rubber for comfort.The net extends an extra 7 inches.The flashlight does not require batteries (it’s squeeze operated).It even comes with it’s own back bag. I do wish the bag was smaller. It’s much larger than an adult version of the same style. So, the items bang around a lot. It doesn’t need to be so large even with a towel and sunscreen inside.Overall, this is the best explorer / bug kit I have seen any of our friends with.
