It's cheap, let's start with that. The plastic is fairly flexible/thin and one of the hooks holding the fan wires was broken in the package so I had to twist the wires to keep them out of the way of the fan blades. However, all is not lost. The size and speed of the fan creates noticeable airflow - a little more towards the edges than in the center than I was hoping for, but that seems to be the case with these single large fan-cooled pads. The noise level is ok, not quiet but a typical hum. In the end I decided to use a stand to cool my Wi-Fi router and feel that this product is widely accepted as an affordable cooling stand option.
