They are light but well made. I'm an experienced seamstress so I know. I wear them under my pants along with a rather old pair of white so-called "thermal johns" when I take the public bus/train to work in Minneapolis. Yes guys I have two panties under my pants! Hey, it's Minnesota! This really solved my problem of my old "warm underpants" not getting warm enough. I'm glad they're light, I hardly know they are. But they are definitely warm. Its soft texture is very pleasant. I'm so glad I bought them and would do it again. In response to some of the reviews on here that complain about falling apart, I would like to say that any beautiful piece of clothing will fall apart if not treated with care, if not treated in accordance with the nature of the materials it is made of becomes. . This two-ply longline should only be washed gently and should never be tumble dried. Line drying only!
