One thing I hate about local auto parts store gas caps is that they don't have a handy tether to hold you in place Find a good one Place to attach the gas cap while refueling. Also, I don't really understand how the lock function is supposed to work (e.g. turn right or left? How far do you turn? Leave the key in while it's in the trash can on the circle? k? Do I re-turn the key How do I put the lid back on?) This lid is as simple as that, a quarter turn to the left (left-loosen), then a quarter turn of the lid, and it immediately pops out and hangs on the tie with the key. To change the cap after you're done, simply turn the cap 1/4 turn clockwise (all the way) and then turn the key 1/4 turn clockwise. Works great. This cap costs about twice as much as a cheap aftermarket model, but I'm glad I spent the extra money to get a product that works properly.
