The piece they bite is fastened under a lid so they can't bite it off and choke. These water bottles are easy to clean. Can be washed in the dishwasher or with a bottle brush, both methods are good for cleaning all parts. I give these bottles away to children aged 1 and over. You drink a lot more water than you would from a glass and there are so many designs to choose from. The only downside is that the bite valve sometimes cracks and leaks.
