Review on Shadowbox Gallery Wood Frames Black Home Decor for Photo Albums, Frames & Accessories by Brenda Naple

Terrible construction, no quality control and nowhere near the picture

For $15 I don't expect this to be an example of master woodwork. But the poor workmanship and lack of quality control is absolutely unforgivable at such a price. The 4 x 4" shadow box I received has huge gaps in the corner joints; with a frame this size, anything over 1-2mm is clearly visible. There are gaps over 3mm. Some of the joints don't even line up properly and are offset by a few millimeters. "A few millimeters" might not sound like much, but with something so small it's impossible not to notice. That's also why it's crooked. When a frame has a has such poor build quality that it actually detracts from what's being put in, that's a very bad sign.To top it off, the included "hanging hardware" is one of those absolute junk pieces that come with cheap frames that Kind of utterly useless junk that either warps as soon as you try to install it, ruins the frame when installed, or falls out of frame immediately after installation. The hardware can't even ma l be included how useless she is. This thing looks like the cheap crap I would find at a dollar store, not like the finely crafted frame shown in the product photos. I wouldn't even pay $3 for this thing if I knew it would look this awful, so the fact that it's listed for $15 is just a complete insult. The 4x6 inch eyeshadow box I bought from Lawrence Frames is significantly cheaper and has a flush fit. and properly aligned joints and indeed square. I just wish they would offer a 4x4 box.

Pros
