I've been using a pair of these headphones as a synth case for a few months. They are well built with strong steel construction and so far have proven to be durable. The only small issue is that the mounting surface is not flush, which means that either the mounting surface needs to be modified to make it flush, or how I have to live with it. . Check out the product image to see what I'm talking about. However, for the price, it's worth it. Would buy another set or recommend to friends.
