This is a great portable external monitor. It does everything a regular monitor does and more. Of course, the best thing about this item is its portability. When connected via the mini HDMI connector, no power cord is required, making it a truly portable monitor. Most portable monitors still require some sort of power from a wall adapter, which isn't really a "portable" monitor as it has nowhere to be used. Please note that if you are using a regular HDMI cable with this item, you will need to connect the monitor to a power source, but you will not need a power source if you are using a mini HDMI port. As well as being a portable device, this device has internal speakers which most monitors don't have. This is especially useful when trying to use gaming systems with a monitor, as gaming systems don't have built-in speakers. Build quality is very solid and seems to be able to withstand a few falls, although I haven't dropped it myself. The included case/stand is extremely useful as it holds the monitor securely while providing convenience through its adjustability. The screen is very sharp and responsive, and the screen brightness is adjustable, which is great for a variety of viewing situations. Overall the product works very well and I am very happy with it. Manufacturers thought carefully while designing this device and they did it well. I highly recommend this item!
