Review on πŸ”Œ SparkFun Qwiic Shim for Raspberry Pi: Small Form Factor with Removable Friction-Based Connector, Stackable HAT for Quick Prototyping and I2C Integration by Roberto Garrido

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It is simple, quick to install and easy to use.

Much easier than soldering I2C components onto a custom hat and a more reliable connection than jumpers. Sparkfun and Adafruit already have many small boards that plug into these QWIIC or Stemma QT headers. This can simplify the project and reduce the time it takes to build and test.

Pros
  • Uses a unique friction connector that mates with the GPIO header for a secure, solderless connection.
Cons
  • Hard to say
