Don't let the 'scientific' in its name fool you, this item is of inferior quality to a dollar store bathroom mirror. It ended up in a paper sleeve with no protective film on a mirrored surface - which is actually what you get in a dollar store mirror - so of course it arrived with a small scratch right down the center and grains stuck to it. I rinsed it under water and tried using a lens tissue to wipe the stains only to find the stains were on the other side of the glass. In other words, built-in defects. Hooray. I was barely getting over my anger when I realized my fingers were turning blue because the blue paint had just washed them away! I stopped and wiped it off with a terry towel but the real reflective coating fell off too! Using just water and a cloth soft enough for camera lenses, I was able to literally wash it into a piece of glass in less than 30 seconds. At the moment the thing was garbage. Most of the blue backing was bubbling, and shards of the real mirror literally flew down the drain, so I threw it back in the sink and just let the water run down to see what happened. The mirror, like cotton candy, simply dissolved in water. I'm absolutely certain that the moisture in your hands will do the same within a week. This is an unpleasant product.
