Not sure if it's safe?: Toothpick

I recently bought these toothpicks to help quell my nicotine cravings. They're great for this, but I've never really done any research on tea tree oil consumption. Some health websites say you shouldn't take tea tree oil internally. I'd like to hear something reassuring from the company selling them before I throw it all in the trash.
