In general, the chair and double seat covers were exactly what was advertised. There are two bright red markers on the cases to indicate where the back is located. They stick out a little when the furniture isn't facing the wall. The chair cover did not fit my furniture like the loveseat cover did (both the chair (47" diameter) and loveseat (71" diameter) were from the same furniture line and were exactly the same except for the size). There was a lot of extra material on the two-seat cover that could be tucked between the cushions and secured with foam retainers. There was less excess material on the chair cover so it seems easier to open. My furniture material was microfiber which seems to hold the cover in place better than slippery material I think. I have cats and so on. So far there have been no holes or bits of material torn out by claws (this was a problem with the original furniture material - lots of scratch marks). In general they have a good material, very elastic, the colors were as I saw on the web. But the material of the chair was less than I needed even though I measured the chair and it was the recommended size.
