Works well when weather turns cold. On plants that cover blew off you could tell a difference in those that were protected by cover and the ones that the cover blew off. I live in utah and the nights can get really cold here. Bought a set for son in colorado. He used during an early snow. His plants survived the cold. Other Son same area tried to cover with regular plastic. He lost his plants. you could cut into smaller pieces to protect small bushes and trees to protect from the bitter cold.

Pros
  • It’s great.
Cons
  • Product worked, but disintegrated over time. Short use only, good for one spring.

DIdn't survive winter

This product will disintegrate in the sun. I had a portion of it covered by stones to hold it down and it is still strong, the part exposed to sun will shred into pieces upon lightest touch. Along that I had an old cover that I have been using continuously for over two years without any issues it survived without any trouble. Therefore you don't want to use this product outdoors, maybe just as a frost cover for a couple days.

Pros
  • Great product!
Cons
  • Terrible product!

not what I expected

I purchased 8x24' (1.0 oz/yd) covers from the same company last year. I wanted to reorder them this year but they were not going to arrive as soon as I wanted and besides I wanted a 10' width. The 10' ones were not the same as the smaller size, which I found out were 'thickened'. The 10x33' ones I got were 1.06 oz/yd but are thinner and don't look as durable. But the main surprise is that the new ones are only listed as giving protection to 38 degrees (not even down to freezing) while the…

Pros
  • Easy to clean and maintain; can be machine-washed or hand-washed and dried
Cons
  • May require more frequent replacement than other types of covers

It really works to keep plants protected.

No problems with it at all. It was a bit long but I cut it to the size I needed. Pot plants were very protected. That's my review!

Pros
  • Helps plants to recover from stress and shock due to weather changes
Cons
  • May be more difficult to remove than traditional covers

Protection against first real frost!

Easy to use. When it comes to my tomato garden, our growing season is over when I say it is! :) We’ve had our first two nights of frost, with two more coming before we go back to seasonal temps, and my plants are holding up fine!

Pros
  • Provides a barrier against pests, birds, and insects
Cons
  • May be more prone to mildew and mold growth

Pure junk. Disintegrated!

Don't buy this. It disintegrated in less than a year and I only used it occasionally! Pulled it out of storage to look at it for this coming winter. and it disintegrated into a million pieces. I just bought it last November and only used it a few times! Junk!

Pros
  • The are wonderful so far. I'll know more as the temperatures drop.
Cons
  • Is not not good ; not durable for cover the guava tree for winter , never buy again

protected my fruit trees

got a bunch of these to cover my fruit trees in case of random frost weather. worked great over this weekend when the weather suddenly dropped from 60s to 20s and I had to protect my pear and peach buds that'd already fully blossomed.was afraid that the fabric would rip from the constant pull and yank over the scratchy branch ends, but it held up fine! in great condition after first usage, so I'd say I'm satisfied.Just wish they came in different/bigger sizes. a 10x33 is awfully awkward for…

Pros
  • Saves time and money on replacing plants damaged by extreme weather
Cons
  • May not be as effective at preventing ice buildup

Disintegrating row covers

The row covers disintegrated in just one season. I have been buying row covers for over 30 years from many vendors. I have never seen them rot, ever…. Thought I had a rodent in my garden realizing the row covers were just falling apart.

Pros
  • Good to shield crops from sun as well as some bugs
Cons
  • Several of the plants I had covered in this last freeze (lowest temp 5 f) still died under the covers.

this is not a good product

This cover has been on my garden for about four weeks and it is falling apart! It has large holes is several places there fore it is worthless.

Pros
  • Can also be used in spring and fall to keep your plants safe
Cons
  • May not be as effective at preventing animal damage (i.e. deer, rabbits, etc.

Lightweight, safe to lay on foliage, and breathable

Perfect for harvesting a few extra tomatoes and peppers once the weather cools down. They work well with the Florida weave system. I also use these for making temporary cold frames in spring. The only downside is unless you double them up they let too much wind through if it's under 40 degrees or so. I lost all my tomato plants at the end of last season on an above-freezing day with 30mph winds.

Pros
  • Supports a healthy environment for plants to grow and thrive
Cons
  • May not be as effective at preventing damage from extreme heat

It works for deer protection also!

I bought the cover to put over my planters at night to protect them from marauding deer. Out of site, out of mind! It’s been about a month and not a nibble! I will use it later this fall when the cold weather comes.

Pros
  • Suitable for both residential and commercial gardens
Cons
  • May be more expensive to ship than other types of covers

Completely disintegrated!

I understand that this cover got rave reviews, and I wish I had the same experience. I had this cloth folded and under shelter and when I picked it up after several months it actually fell apart in my hands! When I picked it up in another spot it did the same thing like a dandelion puff, disintegrated and blew away in the wind. Unbelievable.

Pros
  • Cover trees and plants
Cons
  • Did not do well holding the freeze off the vegetables garden.

Quality made product

I purchased three of these for my garden to prevent pepper tomato and other plants from freezing in Texas. I trimmed the plants back, and was able to get two rows covered (10' width of material was perfect) with each. I used thin metal rod spikes and bricks and they stayed on through some15-20 mph fronts so far. Easy to cut to fit length of rows, and I covered my trumpet trees with the leftover material, just safety pinned together. Quick shipping too.

Pros
  • Protects plants from extreme freeze and helps to maintain their health
Cons
  • May not be as effective at preventing insect damage

Frost fleece. Inexpensive.

The fleece came in the mail in its plastic bag. That was sufficient for the trip - no box needed. The fleece is typical heavy-duty frost grade fleece.

Pros
  • 2.03 pounds
Cons
  • May be more expensive than other types of covers

shredding after one month of use

I purchased this row cover after searching for one that was thicker than others for durability but this is not the one. I cover my raised beds nightly to keep the deer from eating everything but will now have to purchase my third cover of the season. At least the first one I bought lasted 2-3 months. This one is already worthless

Pros
  • Strong & Durable Reusing Plant Covers
Cons
  • May not be aesthetically pleasing in a garden setting

Good quality frost cover!

This cover is very good ! I tried this as we are having fluctuating weather, my cabbages were sad but after putting this , they look great now! The quality is very good , the size is also great for the price. Would recommend it!

Pros
  • Great coverage and breathable.
Cons
  • Seems thick enough to hold up good against winds and water but not the case.

Not a frost protection

I used this for our short freeze in Florida, well it did not protect my plants. Thanks for attention. My Christmas palm froze. Not happy 😡

Pros
  • All-Purpose Garden Plant Cover
Cons
  • May not fit all plant sizes and shapes

Revainrating 3 out of 5

good for mild protection

product is thin and tears easily, but did offer protection from mildly cold temperatures, for coverage in the below 32 range you would need a thicker or perhaps double this product

Pros
  • Used this to cover the lettuce in my wife’s garden to protect from frost this fall/winter. Worked great.
Cons
  • Very light weight. Did not perform as expected.

Creates a Giant Mess!

I put these covers over my perennial plants last fall for the first time and over the winter, they disintegrated into tiny little pieces that are too small to pick up. My garden looks like it has a layer of snow on it now. I do NOT recommend this product!

Pros
  • Patio, Lawn & Garden
Cons
  • May restrict access to plants for watering or other care

They did the trick best in my review

Our vegetable plants survived the 5 days of below freezing weather here in Texas, Wish we had bought more to use on other plants.

Pros
  • Provides an early start to growing seasons, extending growing periods for plants
Cons
  • May be more difficult to manipulate than traditional covers (i.e. folding and storing
