Lightweight frost cover

Updated: After a severe ice storm, protected tender plants and herbs.Protected tender plants in a light frost That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Easy to install, thanks to its floating row cover design
Cons
  • May not be as effective at preventing frost damage as other types of covers

Plants under the cover still died

Bought these just before the big freeze in Texas and got them installed just in time. They are not easy to install around plants and it took two of us to get it done. In the end it didn't matter because the plants still died. We covered two of the sego palms but had two others we were unable to cover. All four looked the same within a week after the freeze.

Pros
  • Plant Covers
Cons
  • May not provide sufficient protection against strong winds

Great until they disintegrated

Worked really well this Spring, however after covering my cabbage plants to keep out bugs, they started disintegrating into thousands of tiny pieces all over my garden.

Pros
  • Winterize Your Garden Easily & Safety
Cons
  • May not be effective in extreme cold temperatures

One month durability. Sucks!

I've been using this item for about two months and it's ripping like toilet paper even though it said it can handle rain snow and wind. This item is definitely not long-term use not even past a month

Pros
  • Makes winterizing your garden easier than ever before
Cons
  • May not be as breathable as other types of covers

Great protection from frost, sun and pests

I purchased the row covers in early spring for frost and spring snow protection of cold weather tolerant plants such as spinach, kale, lettuces, beets and celery. Now that summer is upon us, I have continued to use the covers to prevent pest infiltration and sun burn. The covers have created a nice little pest-free environment and my greens are loving it.

Pros
  • Comes with a storage bag, making it easy to store when not in use
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with certain types of plants (i.e. those that require a lot of light

Kept my plants from freezing

I thought I would lose all my fall veggies when we went from 70 to freezing in one day but this frost cloth protected everything. We have had 2 more freezes - one the temps went down to 24 for several days and I'm still digging up my carrots, eating my spinach and lettuce! I used it with plastic hoops to lift it off the plants.

Pros
  • Can also be used to protect outdoor furniture and other equipment
Cons
  • May not provide as much insulation as other types of covers

Protected my mounted orchids from below 50’s temp

Protected my mounted orchids on Palm trees from a cold night below 50’s in Florida. Thin enough to fold it and easy reuse and at the same time thick enough to protect my orchids. Great product.

Pros
  • A cost-effective way to keep your garden healthy throughout the year
Cons
  • May require frequent readjustment to stay in place

Very bad product. for my opinion

I bought it in Dec 21 and was destroyed in Jan 2022. Very bad quality. lasted only one month. and the product is not cheap. Never buy again.

Pros
  • Can be reused several times, making it an eco-friendly solution
Cons
  • May be more prone to tearing, especially in windy conditions

Protected plants well.

Used this product to create protection of raised garden boxes that cats love to use as litter boxes, necessitating having to replant numerous times. We have also had a very cold spring so not only did I not have to replant from animal diggings but my tender plants were protected from freezing temps. Worked like mini greenhouses. I am so excited that my garden is flourishing with veggies that will produce good yields this season.

Pros
  • Made of high-quality material, ensuring durability and long-lasting use
Cons
  • May be more difficult to install than traditional covers

This product is not worth the price, too expensive

This product is not suitable for use in winter, so don't buy it in cold places, it's a waste of money.。This product is not cold-resistant, and my dishes were frozen overnight,

Pros
  • IT HASN'T GOTTEN COLD ENOUGH FOR ME TO USE. hurricane zETA WIPED OUT MY GARDEN, SO i AM STARTING OVER.
Cons
  • Durability was not good at all. Only used for a short time due to tearing.

Gets holes easily, catches on things easily.

After getting it unfolded and situated it worked fine. For two days, until it caught on one of our dog’s paws and he freaked out running away from it. So after two days of use it has many holes and I’m trying to think if there’s anything else I can do with it.

Pros
  • Works well, easy to use, keeps plants frostfree, allows light in, reusable.
Cons
  • Lasted two weeks .Was not uv protected

Do not buy it! in my review

This is not a good frost cover. I covered my guava with it and it ripped in a month. This is in Houston with lowest temperature of 30’ and no snow. Just ripped on its own in a month and did not save my plant.

Pros
  • Provides effective protection to your plants from cold weather and snow
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in all climates

Scam trash on my review.

Fake trash by Best Buy yet again. It looks like its real at first, go to pick it up a few months later (protected inside greenhouse) falls apart faster than wet newspaper cant even pick it up to put it in the trash can. Total scam

Pros
  • Great price. Product worked well! Glad we purchased!
Cons
  • All my plants died from using this blanket... Then blanket disintegrated in my hand.

Won't last beyond one season

These worked great for their purpose until they started shredding and completely falling apart about 2 months later. I have no idea how other reviews state they can be reused. Also, these were out in extremely mild weather -- San Francisco, not a place with hail, snow, rainstorms, etc. Would not recommend given I have to buy completely new cloth now already. (Purchased mid-October, 2020)

Pros
  • Reduces water loss due to evaporation, keeping your plants hydrated for longer
Cons
  • May be more prone to damage from animals or pests

Very good weight for a tree.

This protector is heavier than row cover. It seemed to keep out the wind. It took less than a minute to put on the tree. We had quite a lot of snow for our area. I used this on an orange tree and it didn't loose any leaves.

Pros
  • Prevents windburn, hail damage, and other weather-related plant injuries
Cons
  • May not provide sufficient protection against extremely low temperatures

All the plants we covered with this product froze at 30 degrees and that was a short time period, less than an hr and they tore easily in the wind of approx 20 mph, waste of our money but too late to return not to mention time spent covering everything that still froze 😡

Pros
  • Can be customized to fit any size or shape garden
Cons
  • May be more difficult to transport due to its size and shape

Protect plants on my review.

It was a good thing I bought this with the idea of protecting my vegetable patch planted in April. Freak snow storm late May and I quickly ran out to cover them from snow. My plants survived! Also protects from extreme sun exposure and promotes seedling to germinate. Great investment.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Didn't last a week. Tearing to shreds. Utter waste of money.

Not frost proof best in my review

Misleading advertising. I opened it this week and immediately noticed how thin it was. I didn’t have any alternatives so used it doubled up but then went to look at the listing. When you scroll through the images it says it’s only good to 38*. …… that’s not frost and snow proof!

Pros
  • 10FT X 33FT Rectangular Plant Cover
Cons
  • May be less durable than other types of plant covers

Works great - my new review

Works as described. Cut into smaller sections and kept out the pests that destroyed my plants in previous years. Durable enough that I will get multiple usages out of it.

Pros
  • FARAER
Cons
  • May require additional equipment (i.e. stakes or weights) to stay in place
