Noisy. Perfect! Use as a perimeter alarm

We hike a lot and bears are one of our concerns. Mind you, I have been hiking/camping/wildlife trekking for over 16 years and have encountered many wild animals including bears. I was even having a meeting when I saw a young man next to our tent because one of my friends hadn't put away her toothbrush and toothpaste as intended. and since there were no containers for bears, I needed an early warning system. I use them in combination with a rope (like fishing line) to create a perimeter around our camp. When an animal hits a wire, an alarm sounds and we have time to react. So far in the last 6 trips we have not seen a bear at our camp but we have found that the coyote is triggered by an alarm. and a few wild folk who forgot we set up a perimeter. Once the alarm goes off, the hardest thing at night is to get up immediately, check the area, and reinsert the needle to stop the sound. You can imagine how annoyed the neighbors are.
