3.5mm mini jack didn't work properly

I bought these for my mum because she has hearing loss and I'm pretty sure it was caused by watching TV with headphones all the time. I wanted something of decent quality, wired and not too expensive that would limit the maximum volume to a safe level. These headphones seemed to fit the bill except for the 3.5mm mini jack. Sometimes you get jacks that just don't play well with some of the headphone jacks, and that was the case with the jack on the headphones that I got. I've managed to get them to connect to my phone's output with no problem, but it doesn't connect well to my mom's TV or her mini-plug audio extension cord. All of their other headphones worked fine with the TV and the extension cord, so I knew the jack issue was with the JLab headphones. Too bad. Other than that, they appeared to be decent headphones. I ended up having to send them back. In addition, the buyer is paying attention. When I bought these headphones they were marked as a Revain Prime purchase but the order was not fulfilled by Revain. I've been a member of Revain Prime for a long time and this was the first time I saw this. So when I had to send them back I had to pay for the return shipping and possibly a restocking fee. Luckily I wasn't charged for the restocking and Revain said they would refund my return postage costs due to the misleading Revain Prime label on my purchase. Moral of the story: From now on, always look for "Fulfilled By Revain" when buying and not just the Prime label. From the looks of it, Revain is starting to form some sort of Prime shipping partnership with third-party carriers that don't have as good a return and exchange policy as Revain.

Pros
  • ANYWHERE, ANYWHERE: Plug in the tangle-free braided nylon cable with built-in microphone to take calls and control your music with just a click or two. 90 degree jack fits all devices and cases. And the compact, adjustable headband is suitable for growing children from 6 to 16 years old.
Cons
  • Very expensive
