I bought the bracelet after a fall that dislocated my knee and then developed gout in the same place. My meds weren't working, so I looked for something that might help. Well I can't tell if the bracelet or the medicine helped but I can walk now so who knows? I've only been using this bracelet for a few days, but now I'll report my results. qualitative. I recommend checking the manufacturer's website for the correct size. The manual says it's better to have less than more. I'm a regular sized guy and bought a large one, but then again the website will help you. The bracelet has a coating on the top that keeps it shiny, but the manufacturer cautions that the coating may not last forever. It suits me as I love dull brass and can always polish it if needed. The underside looks like uncoated brushed copper, I noticed that in other reviews someone complained that the skin turns green well. That's what copper does. I think that's a sign that the remedy is working! On the first day he left a green stain, but there is no longer one, and the light green color is immediately washed off with water and is very slight. IMO, if your copper jewelry doesn't tarnish, then it has a plating (as above). If the underside were coated it would prevent the copper from being absorbed into the skin and wouldn't relieve the pain. So a little green is good. Who knows about magnets, but there's all sorts of information on the web about the health benefits of magnets, so I need something that can help with my chronic pain. FYI, if you use the watch on the same hand, please order the strap without magnets, as the magnet will damage the watch. All in all a great price and a beautiful look and as for me my pain is gone!
